So the most underrated character in my opinion is Lupin. He is absolutely fantastic in the books, but the films really do weaken his role, his strength and relationship he has with Harry. You don’t really learn.anything about Lupin in the films, BUT the books… Wow that’s a whole other blog post. He is absolutely incredible in the books. I really wished he was portrayed better, this has nothing to do with the actor because I feel David Thewlis plays the parts amazingly, it’s the lack of influence he has within the films. Before I had even read the books Lupin was my least favourite character, after reading the book he is my favourite. I absolutely adore him. ❤
Favourite Male Character and why!?
So this is purely based on again like I’ve said in every other post, based on everything I have read up to The Order of the Phoenix.
My favourite male character has to be Lupin.
I love how misunderstood he is and how he just craves for people to see beyond the werewolf within and see he is a real person. But he never mopes and complains about how unfair life has been too him. He is extremely brave and never jumps at a situation, he always thinks about what he will do before he actually does it.
He also take particular interest in helping and giving confidence to poor old Neville Longbottom who gets everything wrong. And I absolutely LOVE that quality about him.
He’s a beautiful soul a wise person and I just absolutely adore him. ❤
Like I have said I have only read up to half of the order of the phoenix and I’m currently Still reading it, so this is based on what I’ve read so far. It may change.
My favourite book up to date is The Prisoner of Azkaban. I was so gripped and moved by this book from the beginning it took me about 3 days to read the whole book, I just couldn’t put it down. I knew I would love this book because I always thought that Sirius Black was my favourite character, BUT, since reading this I have since discovered that my favourite character is Remus Lupin. This book really brought everything to life. I loved how Lupin really does care for Harry, how his Lessons were so fun I really felt as though I was attending his lessons. I loved it when Harry was sneaking off to Hogsmead and was caught by malfoy and the way Snape reprimanded him. The marauders map, was a highlight and of course the reveal of Peter Pettistree and poor Remus Lupin is a WERE WOLF. The book kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The book was one of THE best reads and I just fell in love.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
