Order of the Phoenix

So I have finally finished my book and I must say it was incredible. Some scenes I found long winded and was finding it hard to read on but the end… The last couple of chapters I welled up to the point I couldn’t read any more, I had to take a break and wipe my eyes. Sirius why Sirius, we need him…

The book really hit me hard when it came to Sirius’s death, I really had to fight the tears, and again when Dumbledore was telling Harry what he should have told him 5 years ago… Again fighting the tears… And finally when Harry opened the two way mirror frof Sirius my heart wrenched and he was calling him… I don’t understand why that was not in the film, what a way to want to gran harry and hold him.

Day 24 Potter Challenge.

How has Harry Potter changed your life or influenced your decision making.

So the first way it has helped me is with my son. He is such a Gryffindor, fearless, Brave, sometimes arrogant, he’s a prankster, but he is incredible smart and funny. He also has a speech delay, which if I’m totally honest, it has been a huge set back for me. I love my son to Pluto and back and a couple more times but you go to bed feeling useless and wake up expecting another day of uselessness because you CANNOT understand them. They’re  trying to converse with you and it is so frustrating because you DO NOT know what they are saying but they know. Harry Potter has helped me overcome this because now I know it’s only parceltongue, it may seem silly to you BUT I’ve blamed myself for three years. So it’s a bight weight lifted off my shoulders. Also his speech has come on fantastic, ALOT more people can understand him now and I put this down to nighttime reading, we always read Harry Potter before bed, or Dr Suess.

Harry Potter has solidified friendships with some very amazing people I know. My oldest friend who I have known for 20 years, is also a Harry Potter fan this has made our friendship even stronger we have yet ANOTHER interest. She is also a hufflepuff like myself and both of our partners are Gryffindors. It’s mental, but I love my little potterfamily.

There is so many more reason but I’m running out of WiFi time down my mum’s. So finally since blogging I have met some amazing people taken different looks and different outlooks on Harry Potter from there point of view. So I want to thank you all for following my blog, liking, commenting and just being incredible. ❤❤

Day 23 Potter Challenge.

If you could choose elder wand, cloak or stone of resurrection what would you choose!?

So this answer is nothing to do with the films that I have seen. But I would love the invisibility cloak,

purely because I would love to sneak up and scare people, or sneak around without anyone seeing me, or listen in on conversations . Stupid reasons I know BUT theyre all true. Who wouldn’t take up the chance at being invisible for the day. ❤

Day 19 Potter Challenge.

What parts of the books and films made me cry?

So as for the books I haven’t reached these bits yet, but I’m so much more emotionally invested within the books I will probably be a mess. I can see it now I feel more of a connection with the characters while reading.

So recently I watch part 1. And I’m not ashamed to say The departure of Dobby did make me shed a tear or two. Everytime I get upset now my son thinks I’m crying because Dobby is dead. He consoles me saying awww is it dobby mummy, it’s OK he’s only dead. I. Like thanks babe.

I got emotional when Sirius died, but I didn’t cry, more of the painful lump you get stuck in your throat when your trying to fight the tears.

And finally I cried like a baby when the castle was being destroyed, I know it’s lame, but that is such a beautiful place and the films were with me from my childhood and it was so upsetting to see my fictional hone being destroyed before.

Day 18 Potter Challenge.

If I could bring back a deceased character who would I choose and why?

So my old self before reading the books would have said Sirius he was my favourite in the films, could be cause I fancy Gary Oldman, but… Since reading the books I would have thought I’d have said Lupin, but, I find myself wanting to bring back Fred. Fred and George started out together since conception and it’s so unfair that they never got to grow up and experience adulthood and see eachother form their own families. Soppy I know… But I’m a mum and family is everything to me, these two are just perfect in the books and it’s a shame their naughtiness and mischievousness never got to carry them through to old age together. ❤

Day 17 Potter Challenge.

If I could meet a cast member who would it be and why!?

So I would totally love to meet Rupert Grint, I feel he himself actually is Ron Weasley, he’s so down to earth. I don’t feel like fame has got to his head at all. I’ve seen a few interviews with him in and he’s funny, takes everything on the chin. I just think he was THE perfect representation on Ron Weasley. ❤

Day 16 Potter Challenge.

Books or Films.

So if you would have asked me this a year ago I would have said films, only because I hadn’t read the books. But now,the books are so much better. I have been answering all the questions I have been pestering my friends with or myself. I do not regret watching g the films first because it has helped me understand and picture what’s happening. But the books have helped me run away, live it, experience it and feel it. There’s nothing like holding a book and running away into a new world. It’s pretty extraordinary. ❤

Day 15 Potter challenge.

Least favourite book and why!?

So I don’t really have one I didn’t like, so I’ve ordered the ones I enjoyed the most and seen which one came last which was, chamber of secrets, this could be influenced by the fact that the film was my least fave. But out of all of the other books that kept me on the edge of my seat less. It was fantastic but not my favourite. ❤
